Night Shooting!

For the sake of practice, Ederu, XS27 and I met up in a nearby park to attempt some night photography!

XS27 took out his Magic – The Gathering Cards and started posing… They actually went really well together! ^^;

The place where we met,Punggol Park was not actually a very beautiful place to begin with…
Therefore, most of our attempted training was shot in the same area =/

XS27s Fav card... I have no idea why =/

Well, as much as XS27 is into magic, i have no idea what the game is about! @_@

[H]ousing [D]evelopment [B]oard Flats.

HDB flats - Housing Development Board Flats.

80% of Singapore’s Population lives in these flats. Only the locals are entitled to buy and own these flats (To safeguard the locals).
These flats are affordable and fairly comfortable to live in… Well, as they are different floors, expect some Curry to drop from one floor to another and affecting your day’s laundry!!

My purpose of going down today, was to try out how to use a tripod, and to try to take some nice Bokeh Pictures… wonder if i have done that! ^^;

Above is an effect I got when i move the camera around when the shutter was open ^^; Pretty fancy the effect!

The shot above was exposed for quite a few seconds… It was really dark at the rocky area of the park!

More Bokeh!

Lovely Puchi Nendos from Ederu!! Wonder who is getting the new Vocaloid Puchi-es??

Hopefully after this session, I can take some “@_@” shots during the Mooncake shoot! =D

Do leave your comments about my shots as that i can improve on them!! ^^;

Thank you!

  1. the used of tripod is necessary if you do not have a steady hand like me, to avoid your picture getting blurry like this one:

    It will also allow you to take great picture in the dark since you can play with the shutter count.

  2. Night close-ups are tricky because of the persistent contention of the camera with the primrose surroundings.

      i won’t really say the surrounding are tinged with a pale yellow… but its the fact that the shutter has to remain open for sometime ^^;

  3. More than decade ago, I was playing Magic the gathering. LOL

    It’s not easy to take photos at night. I dare not try it yet but looking at your photos make me want to do night shoots. 😀
